§ 01Overview

Project Overview

Hedge Hog is an early-stage exploration property in the Barkerville area of central BC, approximately 15 kilometres north of Wells. The three road-accessible claims have a stated area of 2,417 hectares and are 100% Eastfield-owned. Placer gold mining is documented and continues on a small scale on and around the claims. No drilling has been completed and no current exploration program is stated here.

§ 02Geology

Geology & Target Model

The claims lie within the Slide Mountain Terrane, where Mississippian to Permian Antler Formation rocks have been the focus of past exploration for Besshi-type volcanogenic massive sulphide deposits. Quartz–iron-carbonate alteration with associated base-metal sulphides and occurrences of massive sulphide float have been reported on the property. Historical district records cited for regional context report approximately 4 million ounces of placer and approximately 1.2 million ounces of lode gold production in the Wells–Barkerville district; those regional figures do not establish mineralization or economic potential on the Hedge Hog claims.
